Not gonna go into a whole long explanation about the effects of global warming, but rather show you a simulation of what would happen to Durban if temperatures rose by 2 and 4 degrees celcius. Climate research group Climate Central created virtual simulations using 3D Google Earth maps to show how global warming and rising sea levels would affect major cities. On November 30 world leaders will negotiate a new U.N. climate treaty so Climate Central created these simulations to show how sea level rise could threaten the existence of entire cities like Durban.
I don’t really know Durban, but if you live there this is what it will look like if water levels rose due to a 2 and 4 degree Celcius increase.
